Proper illumination within a pig farm enclosure is crucial to the
animals‘ welfare. It affects growth and reproduction rates, as
well as the animals’ mood and behaviour. In terms of lighting,
research tells us that pigs perceive warm tones within the
spectrum in the same way they do darkness, and behave
accordingly when exposed.
Enter AMTEK ULLI. Our daylight-simulating LED system was designed with the above in mind; its cool-toned, flicker-free lighting promotes growth and encourages natural porcine interaction and reproduction behaviours, as well as reducing stress levels in the animals.
